The Department of Painting began training students on 20 September, 2004 in Bodrum. After passing Transition to Higher Education Exam (YGS), students are admitted to the department ,which is a-four-year undergraduate program, on the basis of special skills.
Painting Department aims at reinforcing students’ creative powers and individual forms of expression, students’ interpreting the contemporary methods of painting and re-expressing themselves by means of the very unique forms of self expression. Our mission is training students who can present the necessity of contemporary art using the abilities of comprehending and analysing concepts with the contribution of methods of analysis. Starting from this point such courses as painting workshops, experimental workshops and multimedia are organised for the main purposes of the department. Students get the bachelor’s degree after completing the compulsory and elective courses successfully and gaining adequate credits
The department does not have a master’s or doctoral degrees yet.
